South Central District Livestock Show
B Arena and 4-H Building
The South Central District Livestock Show is the qualifying show for 4-H & FFA members from the surrounding parishes, to qualify them to go to the LSU Ag Center State Livestock Show. They will be showing Market Hogs, Sheep, Goats and Steers, as well as Breeding Sheep, Goats, Sheep, Beef Cattle and Dairy Cattle. The animals arrive on Thursday and some judging begins around 2pm, on Friday and Saturday the judging starts at 8 am.

LSU State Livestock Show
All Facilities
The LSU AgCenter State Livestock Show is the culminating point for the 4-H and FFA exhibitors that have groomed and fed their animals to get them to this point. We will have approximately 3,000 exhibitors with the families coming down to watch the young people show their animals. You can come and walk thru the barns and visit with them as they prepare their animals for their classes. The animals begin arriving on Saturday the 9th and showing begins at 3 pm that day and continues thru the 16th.

This Rodeo is a pre-qualifier for local and area high school participants to get to the La. State High School Rodeo Finals to be held at Lamar-Dixon in 2008. 59th Annual Dodge Louisiana High School Finals Rodeo
Cowboys and cowgirls representing high schools from all regions of Louisiana will compete for the title of state champion in each of 12 different rodeo events. The top 4 contestants in each event earn the right to represent Louisiana at the National High School Finals Rodeo in Springfield, IL. Rodeo events will include Bull Riding, Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Team Roping, Tie-down Calf Roping, Breakaway Calf Roping, Goat Tying, Steer Wrestling, Boy’s Cutting and Girl’s Cutting. This is an extremely family-oriented event and will be great fun for kids of all ages. Rodeo performances nightly June 15 – 21.

Deck The Halls
This is a celebration of the Holiday Season with an Open House and the Halls have been Decked with all Original ART. “Make ART a Part of your Christmas!” Artisans decorate the tree with all hand made creative Louisiana ornaments. Music and a Christmas sing-a-long will help set the festive mood. Put on your party clothes and join the artists for a Holiday feast.
